  • Postpartum Support International’s 2-day PMAD Training -- will be offered at Sinai
    on Thursday, August 9th & Friday, August 10th, 2018.  For more info and to register, go to: http://www.postpartum.net/professionals/trainings-events/psi-certificate-training/
    -> *This year’s PSI Annual Conference will be held in Houston, Texas on July 13-15, 2018*
 
  • Climb Out of the Darkness 2018 will be held in Baltimore on Saturday, June 23rd 2018.  Details are being finalized, but the event will take place in the morning, tentatively at Meadowwood Regional Park.  For info/ updates go to the Climb Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/climboutteambaltimore/
 
  • Baltimore’s first BridgeMoms Conference took place in downtown Baltimore on Saturday, 2/17 -- created and organized by Study Group participant Katy Linda, IBCLC. Several Study Group participants were involved in some way with the conference -- and several recorded podcasts with Katy on PMH-related topics.   • Ana Rodney will tell us about her exciting Baltimore-based MOMCares initiative.  “MOMCares provides support, advocacy, meals, self care options, connection to services and transportation to mothers needing extra help navigating the NICU experience” (taken from flyer, which will circulate during mtng).  
 
  • Update from The Mental Health Association of Maryland

  • Maternal Mental Health Awareness month is in May, and 2020 Mom & The Blue Dot Project are teaming up for another MMH Awareness week across social media -- April 30th to May 6th.  The theme for this years’ campaign is #RealMotherhood #NoShame.“Getting real about motherhood is no shame.” For more info, and to sign up, go to:  https://www.thebluedotproject.org/mmhweek2018/
 
  • Update about The Postpartum Project Directory:  https://postpartumproject.com/
          The original founders have decided to work independently of one another, and Zoe Hicks will be returning to Postpartum             Project, LLC of NY.  Ellen Gregory will be going in a new direction; details uncertain at this time.  The DMV PMH Resource            Guide site will be back up and running soon, at:  http://www.dmvpmhresourceguide.com/.  Stay tuned!

  • Mom & Mind Podcast:  http://www.momandmind.com/ -- Weekly podcast episodes, and resource for discussions about maternal mental health. Mom & Mind Podcast interviews experts, advocates and people with lived experience through infertility, pregnancy, loss, birth and postpartum.
