Study Group Business

• PMHPSG Final 2022 Meeting Date:   Wednesday, 11/30/22   8:30-10:00am    
  **Please share any relevant content to the shared google drive, ASAP-But no later than 11/16/22.**  

 

• Meeting planning for 2023:  
  Please share your thoughts about scheduling (dates) and topics (content!) for 2023, via the shared google drive
  ​document "2023 Meeting Topic ideas."

 

• Google Group (vs. Mail Chimp list):  Remember - we can all share resources with (or ask for help from) one another in ‘real time’ via our google group!  To join our resource/ info sharing platform, search Google Groups for “Baltimore Perinatal Mental Health Professional Study Group” and request an invite. When requesting your invite, be sure to answer the questions about yourself and your participation in the study group (otherwise approval will be delayed).
  **Reminder:  You must ALSO be signed up for our Mail Chimp list, so you receive meeting reminders (which include the RSVP forms); sign up for the Mail Chimp on the website- www.pmhpsgbaltimore.com. 

• Support Groups:  There continue to be more support groups offered locally (yay!) and online; please keep sharing info about local groups via our Google Group. 

News & Resource Sharing

• The PSI Team Maryland Climb Out of the Darkness Event is happening Sunday, September 18, 2022 @ 10:30am.
  → Join the team or donate at:   https://climbout2022.causevox.com/team/maryland
  → This event is for everyone:  Survivors, professionals, family, friends, and community members. Bring the whole family! There will be face painting for the kids, a yoga warm up and a short walk around the area to represent our climb out of the darkness. Bring a picnic lunch for some additional time together. 

• PSI’s Maryland Chapter is now meeting every other month, and looking for board members!
  The next general chapter meeting will be held on Monday, November 14th at 7:30pm, on Zoom.
  Board meetings are held monthly, on Zoom, and are open to the public.
  For more information about the PSI Maryland Chapter, be sure you are registered as a PSI member (www.postpartum.net)

 

• Baltimore’s Womb Room will be hosting a Baby/ Pregnancy Gear & Clothing Swap on Sunday, 9/25 from 11am to 1pm. The event is free, but advanced registration is required.  Registration info available on their website. 

 

• September 24th-October 2nd 2022 is National Diaper Need Awareness Week!  Our incredible local non-profit and diaper bank ShareBaby is working to address the specific need for Pull-Ups in our community.  Please help spread the word, and make a direct contribution!  Pull-Ups are one of the items most frequently requested by ShareBaby partner organizations for the families they serve. Providing families with Pull-Ups means healthier and successfully potty-trained kids!

• The 2022 Black Maternal Health Conference & Training Institute is happening in DC September 17-18, 2022 – at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel (also virtually). This event was founded and is led by the Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA).  For two days, Black women care providers, clinicians, scholars, researchers, and advocates from around the country will convene to center Black Mamas and birthing people unapologetically and to honor our beloved elders and trailblazers in the maternal, reproductive, and birth justice fields.

• The 2022 DMV Perinatal Mental Health Symposium:  And Justice for All
  Will be held VIRTUALLY on Monday, October 24th, 2022 from 8:45am-5:15pm
