• PMHPSG Future Meeting Dates

     *Please share your thoughts and ideas about topics/a speaker for November!
  -Also, be aware that dates for 2022 meetings will be forthcoming at the November meeting.  Before then, please share ideas of dates/ days/ times of day/ topics/ presenters with Sara.  Planning assistance would be appreciated! :)

• September is Suicide Awareness & Prevention Month -
  -And... Sept 6-10th, 2021 was Maternal Suicide Awareness week!  According to the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA), Suicide + overdose combined are the LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH for women in the 1st year postpartum. 33% of pregnancy- related suicide deaths had a documented prior suicide attempt.

• Support Groups
  There are more and more support groups being offered locally (yay!) and online; please share info about groups you run via the Google Group!  Also, PSI is growing their list of online groups, with many specialized options!

  This spreadsheet lists Baltimore-area perinatal-related groups, mental health providers, and various other service providers for perinatal issues.  Please join our google group for access.

 

• Remember - we can all share resources with (or ask for help from) one another in ‘real time’ via our google group!!!  To join our resource/ info sharing platform, search Google Groups for “Baltimore Perinatal Mental Health Professional Study Group” and request an invite.  Email Sara with questions: [email protected].
